Biography
Dr. Somayeh Dolatabadi has completed her PhD in 2015 from Amsterdam University and is helding a postdoctoral position in CBS-KNAW, Utrecht, the Netherlands. She is working with Mucoralean fungi which are involved in food fermentation and also causing mucormycosis infections in human. She has published more than 25 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member. She conducted different international projects in past regarding food safety.

Her research interest includes: Food Microbiology, Phylogeny, Mucoralean fungi.
Biography
Mei Yen Chan currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Food and Human Nutrition in School of Agriculture, Food & Rural Development of Newcastle University.Mei-Yen was trained as a clinical dietitian and she has a strong background in food and nutrition education and research, with expertise including, chronic diseases treatment and management, specifically cardiovascular disease and obesity. As a course leader, she led the design of a postgraduate public health nutrition programme in UK. Her teaching philosophy is to enhance nutrition capacity and to develop critical food and nutrition researchers to meet today’s global challenges in food security. She has a broad body of experience in the co-ordination and administration of academic duties as well as management of research projects as the lead PI.
Research Interest
Mei Yen Chan research interest includes food choices and socio-cognitive sciences, public health nutrition policies and programmes.- Extensive human nutrition and food background in non-communicable diseases prevention and management, specifically Cardiovascular Disease and Obesity; clinical nutrition intervention studies, dietary assessment methods, diets of young children and adolescents, cognitive dissonance, food-related attitudes and behaviours
Biography
Dr. Mohamed Fawzy Ramadan Hassanien is currently working as Associate Professor in Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt since 2009. He received his BSc in Biochemistry in 1995, at Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt. He got MSc in Biochemistry in 1998, from Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt. He obtained PhD from Berlin University of Technology, Germany in 2004, in Food Chemistry.
