Dr. Somayeh Dolatabadi has completed her PhD in 2015 from Amsterdam University and is helding a postdoctoral position in CBS-KNAW, Utrecht, the Netherlands. She is working with Mucoralean fungi which are involved in food fermentation and also causing mucormycosis infections in human. She has published more than 25 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member. She conducted different international projects in past regarding food safety.

Her research interest includes: Food Microbiology, Phylogeny, Mucoralean fungi.

Mei Yen Chan currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Food and Human Nutrition in School of Agriculture, Food & Rural Development of Newcastle University.Mei-Yen was trained as a clinical dietitian and she has a strong background in food and nutrition education and research, with expertise including, chronic diseases treatment and management, specifically cardiovascular disease and obesity. As a course leader, she led the design of a postgraduate public health nutrition programme in UK. Her teaching philosophy is to enhance nutrition capacity and to develop critical food and nutrition researchers to meet today’s global challenges in food security. She has a broad body of experience in the co-ordination and administration of academic duties as well as management of research projects as the lead PI.

Mei Yen Chan research interest includes food choices and socio-cognitive sciences, public health nutrition policies and programmes.- Extensive human nutrition and food background in non-communicable diseases prevention and management, specifically Cardiovascular Disease and Obesity; clinical nutrition intervention studies, dietary assessment methods, diets of young children and adolescents, cognitive dissonance, food-related attitudes and behaviours

Dr. Mohamed Fawzy Ramadan Hassanien is currently working as Associate Professor in Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt since 2009. He received his BSc in Biochemistry in 1995, at Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt. He got MSc in Biochemistry in 1998, from Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt. He obtained PhD from Berlin University of Technology, Germany in 2004, in Food Chemistry.

Professor George Aggelis, head of the laboratory of Microbiology, Department of Biology, University of Patras, Greece, has completed his PhD at the Université des Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc, Montpellier II, France and postdoctoral studies at the Agricultural University of Athens, Greece. He has published more than 110 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member and conducted many national and international projects.

George Aggelis research interest includes Biochemistry and biotechnology of oleaginous microorganisms (fungi, yeasts, microalgae), Microbial lipids, Production of polyunsaturated fatty acids, Food and medical applications.

Bhupendar Khatkar is PhD from University of Reading, England. Currently he is working as Dean, Faculty of Environmental and Bio-sciences & Technology at Guru Jambheshwar University of SAdvisorscience & Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar. He has published 4 books, more than 100 research and review papers. He has been honoured with Commonwealth Scholarship Award, Laljee Godhoo Smarak Nidhi award by AFST(I), best paper awards by professional bodies such as AACC, USA; ICFP, Malaysia and AFST (I) India. In recognition of his research contribution he was presented appreciation certificate by GJUS&T, Hisar and was nominated to the Research Board of of American Biographical Institute (ABI), USA and was also nominated for the title Man of Year 2003 by ABI, USA.

His research interest includes wheat proteins chemistry, dough & gluten rheology, baked products processing & quality, cereal grains milling & quality, health foods & neutraceuticals, food safety & quality.

Dr. Ramon Clarete is a Professor of School of Economics, University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City,Philippines since 1989. 17 years of experience (1992 to 2009) in managing USAID technical assistance projects. The proposed expert had developed and supervised the implementation of technical assistance activities to various Philippine government agencies in their respective trade capacity building initiatives, in consultation with Philippine government counterparts and upon the approval of USAID/Philippines. In these projects, the proposed expert managed as well technical assistance activities towards reforms in tax and expenditure, financial, competition, agriculture and food, and anti-corruption policies and programs.

His Research interest include in Agricultural crops and Food Quality.

Shashi Bhushan has completed his PhD in Post Harvest Technology in 2002 from Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan (HP) India. Shashi has been awarded with Young Scientist Fellowship in 2006 by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. He joined as Assistant Professor in Central Agriculture University at Pasighat, Arunanchal Pradesh, India. Later he joined CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, India as Scientist. He is working in the area of processing and product devlopment based on Himalayan bioresources as well as benefication of fruit processing bio-waste. He has been selected for Raman Research Fellowship in 2015-16 and presently joined Food and Plant Biotechnology Lab at Chungbuk National Univeristy, Cheongju, South Korea. He has published more than 30 papers and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute.

Shashi Bhushan research interest includes value addition of Himalayan plant bioresources and in vitro production of plant metabolites

Dr.M.Amirthaveni Subramanian has completed his PhD at the age of 45 years from Avinashilingam University and postdoctoral studies from World vegetable center ,Taiwan in 1998. is the Professor and Head,Department Of Food Science and Nutrition,Avinashilingam institute of home science and higher education for women, Coimbatore ,TamilNadu ,India .She is having 41 yeas of teaching experiences in the same University. She has published more than 40 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute Journal.She has guided 8 Phd candidates.Completed 4 International Projects and 2 National Projects.She is the member of many National Bodies.She had served as organising committee member in International and National conferences.

Dr.M.Amirthaveni Subramanian research interest includes Food Science, Developing recipies, Community Nutrition and Clinical Nutrition.

Dr. N. A. Michael Eskin is Professor of Food Biochemistry in the Department of Human Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. He is the author and co-author of 13 books several of which were translated into Japanese, German and Malay. His book Biochemistry of Foods, first published in 1971 by Academic Press, New York has become a classic in the field with the third edition released in 2013 to stellar reviews and recently translated inti Portuguese. His research work includes original work that established the properties and performance of canola oil that helped to successfully launch it worldwide. He has also done extensive research on yellow mustard mucilage. His current research includes edible oil quality, hemp oil. And fetal alcohol syndrome. Dr. Eskin has published over 125 papers and was the recipient of many awards including the very prestigious 2012 Institute of Food Technologists’ Stephen S. Chang Award for outstanding contributions to lipid and flavor science and the 2013 Alton E. Bailey recipient of the American Oil Chemists’ Society for outstanding contributions to lipid science. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Food Technologists (USA); the Institute of Food Science & Technology (UK); Canadian Institute of Food Science & Technology; and the American Oil Chemists’ Society. He sits on the editorial board of 5 journals and is co-editor of Lipid Technology. He has jut completed with Dr. Michel Aliani a book on Bitterness.

His research work includes original work that established the properties and performance of canola oil that helped to successfully launch it worldwide. Sameh maktouf has completed her PhD in enzyme and bacteraial engineering at the age of 32 years from Toulouse University. She is a research assistant in soil Microbiology at olive institute in Sfax (Tunisia). She has published more than 20 scientific papers, many in the field of Food Science, microbiology and biochesmistry

Sameh maktouf research interest includes soil microbiology , biochemistry , enzymology and food processing and technology.
